On the type
Set in Amiri Quran, Khaled Hosny's revival of the 1924 Cairo edition's Naskh. It's real text, not a picture. Pinch to zoom and the letters never blur. Open it in airplane mode and it's still there.
On reading comfort
Adjust the text size across the whole muṣḥaf, or switch on large print for a much bigger script when you need it. Navigate by sūrah, juzʾ, or page, and the app remembers exactly where you left off.
You hear it. Whose voice was that?
You're in a taxi, or on a friend's speakers, or you remember a recording from twelve years ago and you cannot place the qāriʾ. Hold the phone up for about twenty seconds and Nooran Mubeena tells you the name.

No account, no email, no permission you didn't already grant. The mic starts and a 20-second timer begins counting.

Hold it steady.
The model wants about 20 seconds of clean recitation. Below that, the button simply waits — quiet rules, no scolding.

A name appears.
The audio is sent over HTTPS to our own server and classified. We keep a copy to keep improving the model, but it's never linked to your name, account, or device, since we don't collect any of those.
· A note from the makers
Most Qur'an apps treat the muṣḥaf like a PDF — an artifact to be displayed. We wanted one that treats it like a teacher you can sit with at three in the morning, without a login.
Nooran Mubeena ships with the standard Madinah layout, the Hafs riwāya, and Amiri Quran calligraphy. The reciter identifier was trained on the major qurrāʾ of our age and runs against a server we maintain. We keep a copy of what you record to keep improving that model, but it's never tied to your name, account, or device — read the full privacy policy for exactly what that means.
There are no accounts, no advertising, no analytics, no in-app purchases. Free is not a price; it's the design premise. If we ever change that, we'll say so on this page first.
